REDMOND, WA: July 16, 2012 – Microsoft Corporation (“MSFT”) recently featured the Actus Interactive Software, LLC (“ACTUS”) suite of interactive software products that leverage the Microsoft© Kinect for Windows© device on the Microsoft Channel 9. Channel 9’s stated mission is “keeps you up to date with videos from people behind the scenes building products at Microsoft.” Recorded at Microsoft TechEd, Microsoft’s largest technical conference on June 12th at the Orlando Convention center, Actus CEO Tim Huckaby was interviewed by Microsoft’s Dan Fernandez and did a live demo of the voice and gesture controlled interactive digital content solution.
You can watch the 19 minute video of the interview and demo here.
Tim Huckaby, Founder and CEO of ACTUS, states, “One of the more fun things I did at TechEd this year was a video interview and demo with my old friend, Dan Fernandez of Microsoft. I have known Dan for years and we have been all over the world together speaking at technical conferences. But, unlike most of the interviews I do, I really like the way this one came out. Dan is a natural interviewer, lead me right into the things folks would be interested most in as it relates to developer productivity and usability in Kinect for Windows and I got to show off the Actus Solution in the process. I have had a ton of positive feedback about that interview and how cool the Actus software is”.
Actus has augmented it’s a suite of cutting edge multi-touch capable interactive digital content, kiosk and active digital signage products to be manipulated by Voice and/or Gesture end to end. The gesture and voice controlled features are available in the Microsoft© Windows© version of the products in large and small form factors and in the Samsung© SUR40 with Microsoft© PixelSense™ version of the product.
